Kimba at "A Soft Place to Land" is hosting a Holiday Open House. I've already looked at so many decorated homes on there, it's fabulous! Here is a tour of our home for the holidays. Nothing fancy as we are in a small space this year and we didn't put up our tree :( However, my sweet husband did do something super special this year for me.

These little snowmen have been part of my Christmas deco since college. One year Matt and I decorated the top of his huge TV with white paper and stood the snowmen on it like they were ice skating! I love these little guys!

This Santa clown is from the Emmett Kelly collection. I have had him forever too. I used to collect clowns as a child and this is the only one that ever gets put out. He's hanging out with my Nativity Snow Globe.


I took an idea I found at Nesting Place this year and hung wreaths on all my mirrors. I LOVE wreaths and I never can think of where to put them all.
Now for the BIG SURPRISE!!!! My sweet hubby decided to do something really special for me this weekend while I was gone to visit my mom and family. I was really bummed this year when I started decorating for the holidays and realized I had no place to hang the stockings. We don't have a fireplace or a mantle so I hung them in the front entryway on the key holders...and I was so sad to do it! So....I came home to this on Sunday night:

Do you love my sweet mantle?? D0n't ask where you can buy one because it is a one of a kind, hand made by my awesome husband and customized! He even decorated it and hung the stockings! Here are some close up pictures of the detail:


He even added these scriptures on here. They are part of the piece itself, amazing! I was so excited to see this. I still can't believe he did it all in 24 hours. Actually, he told me he's been working on it all week at work. This piece is truly a labor of love. I'm so proud to hang it in our home and to share it with you all!

I was sitting in the brides room throwing up, literally. I was so nervous that I asked my brother in law to run across the street to the store and bring me back a bottle of wine!
