Sarabeth wanted to hold Nathan today and take a picture. Here she is telling me she needs to hold him...complete with her hand cupped like she can hold him right in there! "Mommy, I need-a hol baby Nathan" Here's the rest of the story: "Cheeeese!" "Look Mommy he's falling off!" "Cheese...again" "Ok, Mommy I'm done" "No, for real I don't wanna hol him" "Stop taka pit-chur Mommy!" ...but it was all her idea

You are such an amazingly beautiful little boy! I just love every piece of you! You are growing so much more each day-like a little man. You have the most precious feet and I love kissing them! Your big sister Sarabeth thinks you are the best thing since her doll house! You are starting to laugh a little-especially at your sis. Your face will light up a room when you see her coming! You love to sleep and have got a little routine down now for the most part. You sleep through the night like a champ! You love your bouncy seat! You kick like crazy when we put you in. We enjoy laying in the floor with you trying to make you laugh. Sarabeth comes to see you first thing every morning- "where's my baby Nathan?" She loves calling you "wittle budee" (little buddy). We're gearing up for a long road trip to Grandpa's in a few weeks. I know he can't wait to see you again. I love watching you grow but I sometimes want time to stop so I can soak in the...

Peace

Image
I snapped this picture of SB today after our very HOT trip to WM. It's not even really summer yet and the heat is almost unbearable for me! Little miss was super tired and passed out with french fry in hand. She looked so peaceful I didn't want to move her, however I know that in this state, I can move her anywhere and she won't wake up. She's so pliable. It started me thinking about the state of peace and what that means. Recently I have been studying the book of John. Jesus is talking to his disciples and says "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." I was thinking of how true peace comes from Jesus only. Sure, I may have a quiet moment during nap time but is that really peace? I think what Jesus is talking about here is not a quiet time or a nice bath but a peaceful heart. The word 'peace' in this passage is talking about the...

Dear Nathan, You absolutely melt my heart! I never knew having a little boy would be so much fun. You are such a joy. You are growing so fast, much faster than I thought. I guess everyone was right when they said the 2nd one grows up even quicker than the first. You are starting to coo and smile a lot. You are sleeping great, and only get up once around 4:00 am to eat. You still have reflux pretty bad so I have you on Xantac for now. You sleep on your tummy most of the time. I know that's against what all the experts say, but you sleep so well that way and you like it. You are almost grown out of 0-3 clothes. Most of what you are wearing is 3-6 months. You had your first trip to Ma and Pa's this month and met some of your cousins. Your big sister loves you so much! She is so great with helping feed you and she loves to kiss on you. You laugh and smile when you hear her voice. You two are going to be great buds when you get older...maybe. I find myself rocking you ...

(A More Real) Love Story

I saw this video today and literally cried! It's so funny, but so REAL to me. I love Anita Renfroe and how she puts life in perspective and reminds us how much the little things don't matter-our Savior loves us anyway! You can see more of her at www.anitarenfroe.com
