They Said Jesus on TV

Not only did they say Jesus, they SANG it! Not since Mandesa have I heard a christian song on American Idol. However I was blown away when they ALL sang "Shout to The Lord" as the closing song for the evening last night with a full choir. I was definitely impressed. Tonight they opened the show with the same song. Way to go FOX. By the way I LOVE Brooke White and David Cook. Tonight they were both "safe"!

Yes I'm an American Idol Junkie.

Wow! I haven't followed American Idol this season at all but I am impressed with that choice! What a change from Shakira a couple of seasons ago!
It disturbs me a little to think that most of the people singing it probably have not a clue what they are singing, but...at least the message is getting out to the world, right?

First let me say Wow!! That's great. Do you have any idea what prompted the choice of that song? I have to agree with the comment above. I too had the same feeling while I was watching it. It bothered me to think that there was most likely some, if not all of them that did not believe the words they were singing.

Whether they believe it or not doesn't make much difference because the Word of God says, "every knee shall bow and every tongue confess" that Jesus Christ is Lord! That was so totally awesome...I just wish I knew which high up executive had such an amazing God touch in his or her life that they were willing to allow this!

Ha! I am an American Idol junkie too. My husband and I were both staring at the TV with jaws dropped. I couldn't believe it! Praise and thanks to God for whoever made the decision to have that song performed. Even if the singers did not believe or understand what they were singing, God has promised that His word will not return void.

I was sitting in the brides room throwing up, literally. I was so nervous that I asked my brother in law to run across the street to the store and bring me back a bottle of wine! I can just see Jake trying to sneak a bottle of Sutter Home into the Baptist Church. My nerves never calmed and I walked wide-eyed all the way down the aisle shivering in my shoes. I had no idea what I was doing. I can't say I would have done things any different. Being married to Matt the past 7 years hasn't exactly been what I thought I was signing up for, but I would sign up again-no questions. It's so crazy to think that even at 27, I had no clue what I was in for. It's easy to get so caught up in what the world perceives marriage to be. I bought into the fairy tale of love and overlooked the work part. It has been an adventure to say the least. I love to think about when Matt and were dating and how care free our lives were. I could have never imagined our lives today bac...
