Tribute to my Sis

Today is 2 years since my sister Alayna passed away from cancer. I don't typically like to remember days like these but as I layed in bed last night, thinking about today I was blessed by her memory. I found myself thanking God for allowing me 19 years with her. So I decided to post a tribute to my sister just to remember her goofy nature and zany attitude! Oh how I miss her!

For those of you that knew her, you could never forget her. She smiled through her sickness every step of the way. The song playing was her favorite among many. She always promised she'd come home (from the hospital), and although she didn't make it to her earthly home, she is sitting at the feet of Jesus in her eternal home. I know one day I will also, get to come home to you!

I am sorry to hear of your loss. I have a sis and cannot imagine losing her. Stay strong and remember all the good things about her. (I am sure there are many!)

I miss her too. The only thing that comforts me is that there is a little piece of her in Rian and now you have a piece of her inside of you too. I love you sister. Haley

hey, i just scrolled down and saw this blog again. i saw it once before but didn't write a comment. it truly made me cry. your tribute is beautiful and so was your sister. i know i only met her once or twice, but i wish i would have stopped a little longer to get to know her better. it is such an amazing testimony that she is now sitting at the Lord's feet, where i hope to be one day as well. you and Matt, i am sure, had a great deal to do with that. thank you both for being servants of the Lord and loving her in such a great way. wow, didn't know i could get so real on a blog! or be touched so deeply by one. love ya.
