My Husband Rocks-Friday
It looks like busy is the new norm around here. Matt and I have been running around crazy so far this summer with mini vacations and work. He is working on a big project in The Heights right now and it is sucking up all of his time! He's up at 5 and home at midnight on some nights. I don't see how he functions and manages to still make time for his family. Sarabeth just adores her daddy and anytime she sees him, I have to pry her off. Yesterday was crunch time for Matt since he was meeting with his Heights client today. He had been glued to the computer all day and at one point I came into the office and left without him even seeing me. I reminded him later that I had a fundraiser to go to at 5 and he was going to have Sarabeth for the night. I knew it was the worst timing and that he was going to be stressed to the max. He handled it well and set Sarabeth up in his office with a little movie corner complete with her own "carpet sample" pallet to lounge on. I left and didn't get home until 11 last night. He never called and when I got home, Sarabeth was fast asleep. Some days I wonder how I function on little sleep and taking care of my girl. My husband really showed me up this week, and I am proud of him. My husband rocks!

Summer Rewind Part 1
I know it's the middle of the summer, but our vacations are already done! The heat is just to brutal to enjoy anything outside around here and we can't afford to go anywhere cold, although I would love to!
A few weeks ago for Fathers Day, we traveled to Arkansas to see Matt's dad along with Matt's 2 brothers and their families. It was cool for us all to be together since we usually only get to do this at the holidays. The kiddos had a ball swimming and playing outside. I really hope Sarabeth will remember these trips to Ma and Pa's with her cousins. It's so fun to see them all playing together. I'm so thankful that our family makes an effort to get together even though we live miles apart.
