Hill Country Vaca

Our family has been super busy over the last few months. Since the hurricane Matt has been swamped at work and with the extra jobs he is doing on the weekends. We had planned to take a family trip this week with Matt's brothers and their wives but it didn't work out for us this time. I know they are having fun in Park City without us! Instead, Matt took Sarabeth and I on a long weekend trip to the Hill Country. We stayed at our usual place T bar M Ranch. We love it there and now with Sarabeth we love it even more. There is so much for kids to do and it's close to town. We left on Friday night and spent 2 hours on I10 in a traffic jam. Two life flight helicopters later, we were back in business. It was truly sad to see such a bad accident, it made us thankful for our safety on our trip. We got up Saturday and I got a massage, it was great! We took Sarabeth for a ride in her new wagon I got from the JBF sale on Thursday. Later that day we went into New Braunfels to Landa Park and rode the train. Sarabeth loved it! Afterward we fed the ducks and let Sarabeth wade in the springs. It was super cold but she really wanted in so daddy took her of course! Matt played golf on Sunday and Sarabeth and I hit the outlet mall in San Marcos. Later that night we drove into San Antonio and took a ride on the ferry through the River Walk and had dinner at Casa Rio. The BEST mexican food I've ever had! It was a great weekend just relaxing and catching up on our family time. We took the scenic route back home and stopped in Buda so Matt could shop at Cabelas. It wasn't Park City, but it was great family time and we all enjoyed it so much. We kept telling each other, "I'm having so much fun!" We need to do this more often for sure.

We are gearing up for Sarabeth's birthday already! She is getting so big and doing so many new things. She started walking at 10 months and has been on the go ever since. I am enjoying being able to stay home with her and just watch her grow and learn. Her party is going to be next Saturday at the Arboretum. I'm super excited to see all our friends and family and to celebrate her birthday.
